Amp Instillation To Factory Bose Amp

For this DIY you will need

T-Clamps

Needle Nose

Amp Install Kit (rca, ground wire, power wire, remote wire)

First we are going to remove all lower step trim on the drivers side and kicker panel. start by removing the kicker panel to the left of the brake or clutch pedal. there are 2 phillips head screws holding it on.

Next we need to remove the lower step trim we do this buy using a flat head screw driver lifting it straight up getting as close to the locking clips as possible. Some may pop out of their spot but that's easy as they slide back in unfortunately you may break one or a couple just take you time and don't do it in the cold as plastics is a bit more brittle when its cold.

Once you have all the trim removed all the way to the back seat we are going to remove the kicker panel of the lower dash from the drivers side. there are 5 8mm bolts that hold it up. 2 are visible from the bottom, 2 are visible under the plastic of the upper steering column. and the final one is located to the left of the dash behind the fuse panel.

Now comes the time to run your Positive wire from the battery MAKING SURE THE FUSE IS OUT OR THE BREAKER IS OFF!

Connecting ground is really up to you. I would highly recommend to find a solid place to wire your ground to! Personally I usually grind off the paint around the seatbelt bolt and use that as my ground connection. Some may disagree but I've never had an issue of anything getting in the way or coming disconnected.

Once you have your wires ran you can go ahead and button up the trim and kickers back to their homes your don't with that.

(Some may feel that you need to run a remote wire and that's your call but if you do connect to the x75 bolt right under the dash when you remove the lower dash/kicker you can save that for last so you know there's no power to it.)

Now comes the RCA to Stock part, on the passenger side there is a cubby hole where the factory Bose amp is located.  It has a brown clip on in with a tab on only one side. pushing in the tab and using a flat head screw driver prying up on the tab side it will lift out allowing you to unclip and slide out the other side.

With this connector you will be tapping into 4 or 5 wires depending on if you ran the remote (switch) wire from the x75 bolt or not. The colors may be different for the most part this is what you would want.

Pins: 22 RR+ 23 RR- ( 22 - Red/White , 23 - White/Red)

Pins: 20 LR+ 21 LR- ( 20 - Blue/White , 21 - White/Blue )

Pin: 25 Remote +  ( White ) if not ran from x75 bolt

Once you have got everything connected and tested you can put everything back together! Now you're able to take it for a spin and not go through the hassle of rewiring the whole system, Enjoy!
